Piece of Mind

Piece of Mind

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Not sure the spark behind this.

"
Trying to find piece of mind
Fractured as it is
Torn asunder by polar thoughts
Seeing your world a blaze
A nuclear winter of absence
Teaming with mutant aggressors
Twisted, hulking, and lurking about
Tearing apart that which once was
Serene, composed, and calm
Now surrounded by chaotic turmoil
Like a ship lost in the tempest
Holding on by threads
No matter how deep they cut
Pain in your eyes
Yet no out-stretched hand
Barely a murmur escapes your lips
Only finally in an tight embrace
Clinging on for dear life
Pieces scattered like broken glass
A puzzle of white on white
Ever so hard to find in the darkness
Does a light exist for you
Peace you need to find
To calm your tormented mind
