Darkness Churns

Darkness Churns

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

We all have a dark side - this is how I attempt to deal with mine.

"
Another beast inside me
Wanton of destruction
Consummate on consumption of all
Evil of the highest order
Wasting all set before it
Opposed to its hunger for death
Revenge beyond repayment
Shadow towering over it all
Unable to good for goodness sake
Would "solve" many problems
Leaving more issues in its wake
If only I let it out of its cage
To destroy my good nature
Pain and suffering under guise
Of making life easier for me
But chained, bound it must remain
No good will come of its release
A warpath it would gleefully create
Undesired blood would be upon my hands
The suffering not worth any gain
That might come of its handiwork
Of the darkness that churns inside me
