Naysayer

Naysayer

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

I'm drawing a blank as to what sparked this.

"
Let me move closer
To ease your burden
Deepen the intact upon me
If I make this easier on you
Could you take a break from it?

Blunt, tactless, and without forethought
Words fall from your lips
Stinging, putrid, and vile
Attempts to cover with sweet scents
Lasting far too short to cover your verbiage

Speaking of the pain in my words
When I only say how I feel
If my words can cause wounds
Yours should be able to kill
Weight of malice heavy upon your breath

Forked tongue wrought of demons
Issues unchallenged or attempted to forget
If your paternal guide still walked this earth
Would you speak the same
Slicing all down with abated breath
