Matron

Matron

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

To be blunt, my mother and I have never been very close and this was me expressing those frustrations.

"
Matron oh matron
It might ne hard to believe me
But your son indeed loves thee

Matron oh matron
We may not see eye-to-eye
It would be nice for a stop, say "hi"

Matron oh matron
When will all the childishness end
For all this stubbornness, unwilling to bend

Matron oh matron
We rarely talk or such; how you complain
Religion an issue between, our personal bane

Matron oh matron
You wronged me that time
For you room more than a dime

Matron oh matron
You fail to acknowledge it yet no gain
For this too me has caused much pain

Matron oh matron
I worked so hard to make you proud
But that part of you yet have I found

Matron oh matron
For three plus decades I have tried to be
A son you can love and truly see
