Two-Faced

Two-Faced

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Another one about a friend's betrayal.

"
You told me how she called you
And how you believed her lies
About me and how things transpired
Not even a passing of the moon
Caused you you change your tune
After three years of nodding yes
Coming around with not a word to me

Once again, your story changes
After living with her closest kin
Always playing to your inflated ego
Polishing badges on your chest
Yet only believing it all in your mind
Saying you know it all, every answer
Your own joy a masked lie to all

Sowing your your seed without regard
Getting your rocks off the only truth
Playing the very games alleged to despise
Doing all you can to play both sides
With a smile, best interest your guise
Claim your reputation unsoiled, pure
Crossing the line from blunt to rude

You made claim to be my friend
Calling me villain after all you said
Making an issue of minor issues between
Defend those who wrong me without a word
Yet not judging my actions after the fact
Unable to say things to my face, cowardly
Showing your true colors after so long
