Counter Fit

Counter Fit

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

A common theme in my life as I found out my ex-girlfriend had been cheating on me.

"
You and I don't work together
Maybe we just never had that fit
Despite moments of pure bliss
Counter to your popular believe
I am not the sole reason for failure
Though I will not blame you
For it all; I have my faults too
At least I worked on mine own
Acknowledged they actually exist
Every time you through a fit
I was not trying to fight you
Just giving my counterpoint
Ears worthless when closed off
Compounded by an equally closed mind
Heart of the matter ignored
Laundered, given to others by you
Counterfeit to your new lust
