Rumor Mill

Rumor Mill

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

My ex-wife was always one to gossip and get into things not of her concern. I wrote this after a false story I fabricated managed to find her ear; proved my point.

"
I was never much for gossip
Words off the street often soiled
I prefer to hear from the source
Easier to see through colored lies
Twisted games of phone no different
Than they were in the school yard
Words misused, misunderstood
So you question me now
About issues not my own
So go ask them about it
My thoughts my own, not yours
A rumor mill for you I will never be
