Wynter's Heart

Wynter's Heart

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Reflection about my feelings about love, life, and my past. Still fall back to this now and then.

"
A cold, detached shell
Thick with blackened ice
Left to chill again
Dark abyss, endless fall
Scars like echoes upon
Fires near stagnant within
Abandoned, thrown like trash
While still burning strong
Lost, never thought about
Slowed to a crawl
Dying with passing days

Now lifted up, resurrected
Beautiful soul she is
Asked not, yet done
Compassionate, taking great care
Brushing off the dirt
Patching holes, kind words
Sharing warmth from within
Barriers falling, heart reopening
Embracing the world again
