Never Alone

Never Alone

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

I wrote this for a friend after a few bad relationships and her repeated thought she could not rely on anyone.

"
Few truly ever are
Alone all the time
Relationships come and go
You have many friends
Ears open to you
Shoulder to cry upon
Good to let it out
All the pain inside
Drinking it all away
Never works for us
Only compounds it all
No one's a rock
Day in, day out
You're no different really
We all mourn change
When hearts are involved
Emotions can be painful
Yet filled with joy
A double edged blade
We all carry along
Memories of the past
Reflecting upon the good
Ourselves never the blame
Takes two to tango
You're never alone dear
Troubles better tackled together
With an understanding friend
Just raise your voice
Reach out a hand
We're here for you
So take a seat
Pull up a chair
Tell me about it
Let the healing begin
Let go of all
Your pain, your reservations
Time heals all wounds
Quickened by your friends
A better future ahead
Speak and be heard
