Lone Wolf

Lone Wolf

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

I've always had a great amount of respect and admiration for wolves. I often see myself as this very lone wolf, so this was the result of those feelings.

"

I am a renegade no more
My ronin blood cooled
I have found a new pack
This lone wolf no longer
Once a slave to opinion
Imprisoned by fear
Tortured by the thoughts of others
Soul crushed more each day
Heart heavy with "what if's"
Maybe not Alpha
Definitely not Omega
But a member of the pack
To howl at the moon
To walk beside his own kind again
No longer trapped
A save to no one
Love again for self and others
Hoping to walk with a new mate
Willing she may be to my true self
No longer cold in winter
Dancing like it is spring
Wanting endless summer nights
Falling deeper in love with each passing day
A lone wolf no more
Forever free

I like the idea that you are no longer a slave to opinion. That is very freeing in itself! Love the free feeling in the poem! Nicely written!
