But A WhisperA Poem by Wynter IgnatiusI needed to get this out.
Unsure and insecure mind
Hands steady only from weight No vision of language unspoken Smiles in the corners of your eyes Frown that quickly glances to laughter Repentance thick upon your face No tone or pause in your voice Inflections of highs and lows in metered timing I want it all though I'll take But a whisper See with these eyes every movement Hear with these ears every little sound Spoken in silent gestures so plain Screaming words trapped behind your lips Vibrato of chorus left unspoken But I ask too much of you Not my place to ask for But a whisper Siting on my hands to keep still Passing time pulls in varied gravity Washes of equal warmth and chills Heart beats slow and quicken equally with But a whisper Even though I shouldn't have it Dreams to suit expectations of desire Not knowing a single thing But a whisper © 2014 Wynter IgnatiusReviews
