Staring in a Mirror

Staring in a Mirror

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Rumination on recent conversation.

"
Blue-green eyes stare back blankly
Self-doubt in all too familar form
Hands upon brow leave marks of red
Words unspoken yet dripping with debate
Actions and words pondered with hasty innocence
Sands of time refuse to flow forward for duration
Judgement deferred by jury of hung peers
Yet it continues unabated and still
Gears turn in endless cycles of increasing heat
Oceans well in corners of these weary eyes
Sting gives credence to reality outside this form
Heart beats with erratic pulses tuned to thoughts
Savoury and sweet meets sinful and bitter
Composure and breakdown a handshake away
Weathered pattern of this weave before
Even if fabric feels different upon the skin
Breath slowed in this controlled hatter's convention
Walk away as reflection does also so proud
This introspection garners its own momentary solace

Mirrors can be for inspection and introspection or someone who is egoist. You have broke down the barriers and handshook composure...Excellent...:).................
