Lost you yetA Poem by WyckedDreamsA song I wrote.
Lost you yet:
I wipe these tears from my tired eyes, I sit and stare at the place you used to be... And wonder to myself, why me. You pace the floor in your ghostly form, like a whisper of wind, you are whisked away... And I wonder to myself..What have I done now? "I haven't lost you yet but your gone... In my bed you sleep, but it's still empty and cold. I haven't lost you yet , but your gone... And I'm so alone." The world passes me by, like a tidal wave ready to drown me.. I reach for your hand to anchor me...but reach emptiness instead. I spend my days in mourning, Fighting to save myself, You spend the days ignoring me, like a broken toy upon a shelf. I haven't lost you yet but your gone... And I sigh into the night to save me... But...I'm alone with your kiss, warm on my lips...yet cold in my heart and I cry. I haven't lost you yet but your gone, the space is far between us. I haven't lost you yet but your gone, I'm abandoned by your love that forsake me. Tired eyes that sought you out, have closed for just a while, to breath the air you left behind, my breath becomes shallow. I pace these floor in the black of night, no loving hands to hold me I pace these floor and wonder why you just could not love me. I haven't lost you yet but your gone, from love to hate you burned. I haven't lost you yet but your gone, and left my soul scorned. © 2011 WyckedDreams |
