In the quiet of night

In the quiet of night

A Poem by WyckedDreams
"

A poem about peace found in the night

"

In the quietness of the night, when the moon is silent in her splendor...when the wind has died to sleep..
I gaze into the vastness of the black sky and breath my pain away...
In the silence of my thoughts, after the day has ran through me...I tremble with my own demons, ghosts too bitter to face....
And I smile waninly , like the moon falling from the heavens, my fears fade...
I lie awake, my body too tired to sleep, my mind too numb to dream...
And I crave your touch, my angel fallen from my memories..
I crave you like I crave the sweet release of death...
And as the sun begins to rise, and my mind has finally fallen into slumber, I become free to be with you...even if it is only in my dreams.

Wow! Awesome imagery and emotion. I could just picture the whole thing happening as I read. Beautifully done!
