Qualms of Reality

Qualms of Reality

A Poem by Wycked
"

Society today as a global community

"

Is this all real
The blood and the pain
Destruction, Hunger, poverty
Acid in our rain

Where is the compassion
Who really cares
Its all apart of the insanity
With sightless soulless stares

Money making sadists
I can’t believe this is real
Making reality confusion
It seems all so Surreal

Children going hungry
Homeless live in shame
There is no more harmony
They toil in vain

Were is the next calamity
The next place to war
Stealing  the souls with poverty
Always taking more

This is really deep. I love it. Gets to the dark part of society and the world. As I interpret it anyway. I've misinterpreted things before. lol.
But this is really good. Keep writing. =D

I agree that it does need more. Maybe not the end, but you can throw detail in between paragraphs. I started feeling uneasy reading the middle stanza:

Money making sadists
I can't believe this is real
Making reality confusion
It seems all so Surreal

It seemed like it came too early.

The last stanza was definitely my favorite, though. The words were simple and the lines were short, but they snapped an image of humanity that is, shamefully perfect. Overall, I thought it was great. Kudos.
