Perfidious MemoriesA Poem by WunderlichWrote this a while ago. I was standing around a pine tree smoking a bowl when I came up with this.
Underneath this pine tree
This canopy of memories I stand despondent Never was a shadow laid Upon my uplifted head I stood in bliss Now spread across the grass Filling my footprints A shadow is cast The needles that once kept me warm Now prick my vulnerable skin Tenaciously believing that it would never happen Has left me more distraught than I ever thought imaginable © 2010 WunderlichReviews
