Smiles adorn this face with deceit
Laughs erupt in stuttered succession As synthetic replicas of authenticity These words are bathed in pyritic interest Beckoning for more but begging to stop To sound involved this tongue flicks reflections Spitting shards of glass through the air Sending the message back to voracious ears That swallow them in thoughtless cannibalism Their familiar taste lost in ravenous narcissism © 2010 Wunderlich |
