The Pacifier's Spear

The Pacifier's Spear

A Poem by Wunderlich
"

Struggling to stand under the weight of gravity's heavy hands
Internal sunshine born into prosperity deep inside
Spreading throughout me at high speeds, I sink into my body
Embracing this peace that cradles me so lovingly
The pacifier's spear keeps my burdened mind clear

Hold my hands, don't let me fall
I can't stand, but I can crawl
Just a man, not much at all
I can't resist its calming call

no matter what happens and how strong we think we are (because humans are, of course, noted for their headstrong, overbearing, self confidence) it always seems like something comes around to kick us in the a*s and let us know that we're not as invincible as we like to go about acting like. and no matter if it's simple, tangible, or even an abstract notion or emotion, we'll succumb to anything that causes some kind of foreign change that we didn't predict with our awesome "intelligence." nonetheless, we need each other and we will always continue to be dependent children of something much greater and incomprehensible. thanks for summing it up in such a short, cleverly devised piece :)
