Tangerine Streams

Tangerine Streams

A Poem by Wunderlich
"

I'm not all into the whole "Save the planet!" movement, but some people's ignorance toward the well-being of this planet is rather astounding, so I wrote this.

"

Tangerine streams swim autoeciously
No need to scream just drink carelessly
Take a big gulp, don't mind the searing pain
As your throat melts away remember what you had seen:

Tangerine streams struggling
Swollen waves of yellow spit washing ashore
Breaking on a large rock in the middle of the stream
Neon green bullshit that shouldn't be glowing

Oh, take a goddamn swim and keep your mouth open wide
Suck it all in, keep it all down, shorten your life
Tangerine streams asking for a raise
But the city says, "No, you ain't getting paid,
And you're never going to get a goddamn break!"

Powerful and green. A step in the right direction for earth. Who says one person can't make a difference if they have the power to make other people take notice of their ignorance.
