Dismissed FaultA Poem by WunderlichWrote this in a few minutes.Volcanic eruptions visible Through viscous clouds
Through distended eyes
Bursting like a neutron star
Inevitable
Hemorrhaging mind
Forecasted internal collapse
Meteorologists
They scoff and laugh
Contaminated waters lapse
Against the shores
Of the remaining atoll
Warning lost in a woven smile
As time reaches end
The wound opens
Prescribed acerbic capsules
Stitch the cut
Forcing it shut
Polluted emotion accumulates
The dam bends
The pressure escalates
In a storm of fire and molten rock
The ground is set ablaze
The laughter stops
Imprisoned in this ashen room
The padded enclosure
Is for my own good
