Dependency

Dependency

A Poem by Wunderlich
"

Man, I wrote this a long time ago.

"

Swimming across a ridged coast
Flip onto my back and float
The salt sticks to my face
Like thoughts stuck to my brain

And I saw her
The fog was lifting
The dark was parting

And she grabbed me
The pain was lifting
The fear was parting

Swimming across a ridged coast
Flip onto my back and float
The salt sticks to my face
Like dreams stick to my sleep

And I hugged her
The love was filling
The nightmares parting

And she hugged me
The hole was filling
The bridge was building

Swimming across a ridged coast
Flip onto my back and float
The salt sticks to my face
Like blood sticks to a blade

And she shook me
The daze was lifting
The day was starting

And she helped me
My legs were standing
My weight was holding

Swimming across a ridged coast
Flip onto my back and float
The salt sticks to my face
Like sin sticks to a soul

And she shook me
The daze was lifting
Or was it setting?
The day was starting
Or was it ending?

Nice. i like the starkness of your choice of words. correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that this is all a cycle a relationship goes through. Ok, nvm. lol.
