Tidal Waves and Shallow Graves

Tidal Waves and Shallow Graves

A Poem by Wunderlich
"

One of many poems I've written and never went back to.

"

Tidal waves thrash against the emotive shore
Shallow graves fill until they can hold no more

Eroding me slowly
My heart is withered and sore
A skeletal core
Primitive instinct
Modernistic façade is torn

Tidal waves wash over the emaciated land
Shallow graves release the killer from their hands

Eroding me slowly
My heart is wasted and worn
A terrifying core
Primitive instinct
Modernistic façade is torn

My eyes no longer open wide
To catch the light
I do not strive
I attempt nothing
My mind is bathed in acid
Everything becomes dim
The shallow grave that held it
Is the prison from which it is now escaping
