MemoriesA Poem by LauraThis is a poem I wrote about my Grandfather who has Alzheimer's (memory loss)
Memories:
We shared so many memories together, So many precious memories that can never be forgotten, But over the years those memories have faded, those Jaded memories have vanished and all you can hold onto now is your childhood, You motivated me the best you can, you never gave up, we celebrated such fun times together, however, even now you struggle to remember anything. A curse it is, and it gets worse with every passing week. An ugly disease which can't be cured, a curse among human kind. You're mind is gone, and it can't be undone, You've endured enough, we have watched you suffer, but the more tougher it gets there is still no stopping it, Alzheimer's, it's a curse which no one can reverse. At least we can still hold onto the memories that still have a special place in our hearts, now those, can never be forgotten. © 2014 LauraAuthor's Note
