Valentines day card

                                                                          My love is a promise

A Forever promise, something special,

Not just words whispered in the dark,

But words of a man that knew he had found,

The woman he had waited for,

“My Valentine”     

My love is a promise,

Once given, never forgotten,

It was not just your hand I asked for,

But your heart,

It was not my lips you kissed,

But my soul,

 

"My Sweetheart”

 My love is a promise,

An eternal declaration of adoration,

Of dedication, a souvenir of all I offer,

And life has never been sweeter,

Since you came into my life.

 

“My Lover”                 

My love is a promise,

Of all I am, all I have,

All I can be, and all I want,

I want it for us,

Forever,

 

I’ll love you forever,

My Lover, Sweetheart, and Valentine,

My Forever Valentine !!

This is beautiful, it actually made me cry a bit. It feels very authentic, as if you wrote it for the love of your life, but then I wonder if so, would she feel absolutely cheapened by your posting it for all to see?

Then I saw it was copywrited 1921, so heck I don’t know. You tell me.
