Perhaps We are Vines......... a "Trace and Julie" collaboration

A Poem by Trace
"

a poem written about the writing of two poets collaborating

"

Perhaps we are vines

gently intertwined

strong, yet vulnerable

as we nurture tiny buds of loveliness

hearts etched with sunlight…

Like a summer morning

dew kissed and glistening

diamond light

           melting

                  into ribbons of delight…

Wrapping us in poetic ecstasy

Leaves quiver,

flowers bloom

and seasons change…

                 We have changed

Still, we remain

gently intertwined

                    Perhaps we are vines….

Growing stronger

as buds bloom to beautiful flowers

beckoning to be adorned

           by dreamers

                       and lovers

and those longing to dress their worlds

         in romantic colors of bliss…

So when evening falls

and the sun sets on a misty shore

the essence of the bloom will

                    shimmer

as stars dance in the sky

in a serenade of sweet lullabies

         weaving delicious dreams

            til petals fall

                 like rain

in the softest shower of possibilities

Certain  when morning comes

with the dew

         and the hope

of the next new bud to surely bloom again…

we remain

with a poem in our hearts

Perhaps we are more than vines…

                          Perhaps…

        we are star-crossed

I always enjoy your calibrations with Julie. You two have a special synergy in your writing. I enjoy both of you as poets, butt the melding of styles gives you a bit more. Three spacing is pure Trace, but the words feel like a meld of both. I get hints of Julies viice then a hint of yours, butt like all the best collabs, it's hard to see where the lines are. They are smudged and blended too perfection. Or perhaps you have become the vines that intertwine

This is simply beautiful and one that I can relate to so well. When souls collide such as this the words flow like rain. Thank you for sharing it with me!!
