Christmas Bells

Christmas Bells

A Poem by Trace
"

A poem about the ringing of the Christmas Bells.

"

The sky was deep, the air was frosty
An evening peaceful and still
With each whisper, you saw your breath

Twilight beckoned the season’s chill

In the east above the peaks
Tis heavens purest light
The Heavenly star that guided
Wiseman of old that night

Somewhere beyond the bristle
From the village on the hill,
With choral clarity they rang
I heard the Christmas bells

A simple quiet ringing
I knew it’s sound from old
Pure and graceful peeling
Blessings of the day foretold

T’was on this day the Christ child
Was born unto the world
To save our souls and give us hope
God’s banner was unfurled

The chimes rang out in honor
Of the promises that were made
In stillness, I stood and listened
To the bells on Christmas day.

Trace, you write such beautiful poems; this is no different at all - You have a heart of cold and your wishes, I know for a fact, will come true, all anyone has to do is read you and your poetry and it will make their night - as it has mine, so thank you, for writing such wonderful poetry and being an amazing friend.

Have a lovely holidays season, my friend. Merry Christmas!

There is something special about Christmas Eve, the calm and quiet, well captured in this poem.

Absolutely beautiful.

NOTES: I recommend you increase the font size to at least 14pt. Also, I recommend changing the font face to Georgia or Times because they have a softer appearance.
