LIFE

LIFE

A Poem by Tanya Williams

You don't know me until you have seen what I seen

You don't know me until you have done what I done

But even you can't capture my life in your hands

The blood, bruises, and sweat can't make up me life

Don't think you can ever pity me with your words

So what if the world is round and I look red with tears done my cheek

These are tears of survival from the world that has become

My foot steps are heavy with the weight of life inside me

thank God my life is over from the misery of the past

I am new again reborn to a place of happiness
