Chapter Three

Chapter Three

A Chapter by Bunny

The rest of the week passed by without anything really exciting. We had a test in English over Romeo and Juliet, a biology project, and a few more tests in other classes. Finally, Friday rolled around. Sitting in class, I looked at Snow and smiled softly. Quietly, I passed her a note then went back to the assignment.

After a few minutes of passing notes back and forth, I paused to read through our silent conversation.

Hey, Snow. I was wondering if you wanted to go roller skating with me then go down to the lake tonight? We don't have curfew tonight.

That sounds like a good idea, Rayne. I'd love to. Who else is going?

I don't know. Maybe a few other people. I'll ask around.

That sounds good to me. You will help me skate, right?

I said I'd always be there for you, didn't I?

    Yes. :3 You did.

Exactly. So don't worry. I've got your back.

Thank you, Rayne. I love you.

I love you, too, Snow Bear.

I smiled at our notes as I felt a little bit of butterflies in my tummy. I put the note away in my binder and hurried through the assignment as I waited for the school day to be over. When it was, I ran to the bus with Snow, pulling her with me. She laughed at my excitement, though she wasn't sure what it was for, just assuming I was just glad for the weekend.

"Come on, Gummy Bear, just calm down. It's the weekend and it's exciting but jeez. This is just silly! It's rather nice, though, seeing you this excited," she said. I smiled at her and sat down on the outside of the seat, bouncing in excitement as the bus started to drive. The whole way to our stop, I just bounced up and down in our seat. Snow tried to hold me but I was too excited. Kissing my cheek, she let me bounce out some of my excitement.

When the bus got to our stop, I ran off and then picked up Snow off the steps. She yelped in surprise as I helped her down then grabbed her hand and started running. Struggling to keep up with me, she panted a little bit as she held onto me and her backpack. Once inside, I wrote a note for my parents, telling them we'd be out late and not to worry. As soon as I'd finished that, I ran upstairs and look around my closet. Sighing softly, I ran a hand through my hair. Snow came up and looked at me. I smiled at her.

"I'm gonna take a shower. You go ahead and get ready to go. I'll be out in a bit," I said as I grabbed some clothes and walked to the bathroom. Quickly, I got into the shower after getting undressed then washed myself and my hair really quickly as I sang softly to myself. When I got out, I put on a neon blue shirt that fell off my shoulder, some black skinny jeans, and blue socks that matched my shirt with black and white Converse. Drying my hair with a towel, I walked out and smiled at Snow, who was wearing a neon purple shirt, white skinny jeans, matching purple socks, and her black and white Converse. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek, causing her to blushed and smiled as she flicked some of my hair out of my face.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked. I scoffed and bumped her gently, catching her so she didn't fall onto her bump. She laughed and smiled at me, giving me an innocent look as if she didn't know what she did.

"Do I look like I am ready to go?" I asked. She started to answer but I put a hand over her mouth as I walked to the bathroom, drying, brushing, and straightening my hair. Once that was done, I did my makeup and smiled at my reflection. I looked rather decent looking. I nodded a litlte bit as I ran a hand through my hair and then walked out after placing my very most favorite necklace around my neck. Snow had given it to me. It was just a chain with handcuffs on the ends, and that's how it clasped. She had the same one. We always wore them.

I walked out of the bathroom and into the room again, only to be greeted by Snow's arms around my waist. I blushed a little and pressed myself against her, closing my eyes tightly. All I ever needed to be happy was just Snow. She's such an amazing friend. Quietly, she leaned down a little and I felt her breath on my ear.

"You look so beautiful. It's insane. I cannot comprehend how someone can look so beautiful without really trying. You're just wearing a t-shirt and jeans and a bit of makeup but you take my breath away. You're so amazingly beautiful and it's so understated. You don't even realize it at all. You are so freaking pretty. Honestly. There isn't even a correct adjective to describe how beautiful you are, and I love it. You're so perfect."

I blushed as I pulled away a little bit, smiling at her. She smiled back and pulled away, taking my hand. Gently, I led her out of the room with our fingers intertwined. We walked together in silence to Taco Cabana, just a few inches away from each other. When we got there, I smiled at her and motioned for her to order. After she did, I got a drink and payed then we sat down in a corner booth while we waited for them to call out our order number. While we sat across from each other, we held hands and spoke softly about how much fun we're going to have while we skate and then when we go to the lake. A few people gave us dirty looks, but I ignored them.

"That was our order. I'll go and get it," I said, smiling. She smiled back and kissed my cheek as I went to get get her tacos for her. On the way back, someone tripped me, causing me to fall to the ground. Luckily, Snow only lost one taco though I scraped my hands and knees pretty bad, ripping my jeans in the knee and getting some pretty back bruises. Snow gasped loudly and jumped up, running over to help me.

"Rayne, hon, are you OK?! Is anything broken?!" she said. I gently stroked her cheek as I shook my head and smiled. She looked really cute when she worried. It was rather adorable and kind of made me want to get hurt more often.

"I'm fine, love, really. Just a few scrapes and bruises. Don't worry. Let's get your food and eat then we can go out to the roller rink," I said. She nodded a little and picked up the tray, carrying it to the table while she helped me. I had landed on my ankle and it hurt pretty bad, though I hid it pretty well from her. We sat and she started to eat her tacos while I sipped on my Sprite, watching her. She kept glancing at me with a worried expression. After a few minutes of it, I gently slammed my Sprite down and shook my head. "Really, Snow. I am fine. Just relax and eat your tacos."

"I just want to make sure that you're alright.. I don't want you to feel like you have to go roller skating if you're hurt," she said. Shaking my head, I ran a hand through my hair as I looked at her. She seemed genuinely upset that I might be in pain. Suddenly, her voice dropped very low so only I'd hear it. "Who tripped you?"

"Some guy. He obviously doesn't approve of us being on a date. Well, poop on him. I hope he never finds love and he steps on a Lego when he gets home," I said. Snow laughed and continued to eat her food, seeming more relaxed. Once she was done, we threw away our drinks and started to walk to the roller rink. My ankle still hurt a little but it wasn't sprained or anything super bad. I shrugged a little and held her hand again, humming softly. Once we got to the roller rink, we walked inside. I smiled as I saw the rink. It was smooth and inviting and there were lights pulsing and loud music blasting. I walked up to the counter and paid for our skates.

I helped Snow over to the seats and helped her get her skates on before I put mine on. Quietly, we stood up, Snow standing like a newborn baby giraffe. I laughed softly and kissed her cheek as I gently and slowly helped her onto the rink. She was unsteady so she held onto me. Slowly, I led her around the rink as I held her up and let her get used to the feel.

"This is scary!" she said. I nodded a little and tightened my grip on her a little, making sure that she felt safe when she skated with me. Slowly but surely, she got more used to it. When we were close to the wall, I let her go a little. She yelped and grabbed me, nearly falling through I held her up. Smiling, I laughed and nodded.

"OK, OK, I won't let you go," I said. She nodded a little and I knew she would've threatened me if I wasn't what was keeping her on her feet. We continued to skate around the rink, me leading her as she smiled at me. After a few hours, around midnight, she managed to get out of my reach as a few younger, ruder kids came in between us. She managed to keep skating for a little bit though as soon as she felt like she could do it, she fell. I came over and helped her up, smiling. "Sorry, love. Kids are stupid. Are you ready to go?"

She nodded at me and I gently led her to the seats again, helping her take off her skates then took off mine. We put on our shoes then we returned our skates, walking out. Both of us were sweaty and in pain, though we had a lot of fun. Laughing and holding hands, we walked together to the lake. Once we got there, we rolled up our jeans and sat on the dock after kicking off our shoes and socks. We sat together, no room between us, with our feet in the water and my head resting on her shoulder. She gently wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me closer and smiling. I blushed as I wrapped my arms around her, closing my eyes. We sat there quietly for a little while before she got up and took off her shirt. Underneath, she was wearing a purple and black bikini.

"No way. You were thinking the same thing I was," I said as I got up and pulled off my shirt, revealing a black and blue bikini. We took off our pants and then we jumped into the lake together. The water was cold and I yelped softly. "That's cold."

She nodded and smiled at me, wrapping me in her arms. Her skin was soft though it was covered in goosebumps. I hugged her tightly and she held onto me. We stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each other's embrace. Burying my head in her shoulder, I sighed softly. I never wanted to leave. Being out at the lake with Snow, just the two of us having fun, is exactly what I love doing. It makes me so insanely happy that it's nearly impossible to describe.

Snow pulled away a little to smile at me, her eyes sparkling gently. I tilted my head a little and moved a wet strand of hair from her face. She giggled softly and gently kissed my cheek. I smiled a little as I looked at her, wondering what she was thinking. Without realizing it, I was chewing on my bottom lip, something that drove Snow wild. She gently stroked her thumb across my lips, causing my cheeks to turn a soft pink with blush. I never notice when I'm biting my lip, so she always has to stop me from doing it. She smiled at me and shook her head a little.

Slowly, she leaned forward and gently kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes a little as I felt her lean down and kiss the tip of my nose, making me laugh softly. She paused for a minute and I kept my eyes closed, feeling a little tired from the time it was and the energy I used. I listened and felt her lean forward until she slowly pressed her lips to mine. It surprised me, though I didn't pull away. Instead I wrapped my arms tightly around her, my heart beating faster as thoughts just rushed through my head.

I'm having my first kiss. With Snow. In the lake. At midnight. Her lips are really soft.
