Inertia

Inertia

A Story by Writingfox

Physics class. it can be entertaining, my best friends big brother teachers the class and he is zany some of my peers are entertainingly funny and talkative. But at other times the equations, concepts, and frequent tests prove to be a bane of my existence. Today was different than both.
Most of the time in science class the focus is on the seen, the physical, the tangible. But as I was daydreaming as I am sometimes prone to( the A.D.D. has nothing to do with it of course...) The classmate next to me says the year is going by so fast. That stuck me all of a sudden as I made an interesting connection.
We had just been taught about inertia. The tendency of an object to stay in motion and how when said object is moving it is easily sped up. I came to the realization that time is a culmination of inertia.
This is my last year of high school, and it is going by unfathomably fast. Seemingly just a few weeks ago I was walking back into school after summer break and now the first semester is 3/4s over. The longer I have been in school the faster it has gone by. Freshman year dawdled along at a sluggish pace, Sophomore year crept by but a bit faster, Junior year a little more quickly. Senior year? I blink and a week has gone past.
Time's momentum has added up and gotten stronger. It's like rolling downhill. Powerless to stop it, my clock becomes a boulder rolling down a hill. But would I want to stop it? I have my whole life ahead of me.

Time is inertia.

While i think you got a great view on life in this piece. I think that last paragraph would be more accurate if you said, you have become a boulder rolling down a hill. For the boulder has the inertial mass, as would person in it's place. Time would be the audience to the events that occur while rolling. =)
But I get what you're saying! =)

"Time is inertia" I loved that line so much, it summed it all up and was just great. It's quite interesting what you say here and I like how you don't say it with all this confusing stuff that rambles on and bores the reader. It was short and straight, and still imaginative.

A good proof that a writer will always be a writer is seen on the way they play with words. Words woven into something the mind can read and the heart can expressively experience without necessarily being there. You just played that part. And I'm so glad to know that little realities hit the mind with a flood of imagination invoking one to write pieces that is just genuine and unabashed.

---what I want to say is, I really like this one!
