I hated to write. Rules and structure impeded the natural eb and flow of words and ideas. Then I discover that was grammer. Not English. I love English. I despise grammer. I was afraid of poetry, I thought it was impossible. Then she opened my eyes " It is impossible to grade a poem, there are no holdbacks, no set structure!" My luminous pale blues widened as it dawned on me. This is God's gift to me. No more do I loathe and fear little words and splashes of ink. I critique, I glean, I criticize, I dig, I learn, I emerse. This is the birth of a lifetime reader turned writer.
I totally agree with the 'hated to write'. Structured essays are such a pain, and I hate doing them because I have the limitations. I love your style of writing, it is very abrupt and to the point when skimmed over, but when studied more closely, you have the very subtle characteristics of a philosopher. I love it! Great job on all of your works!
Writing is always a love, hate relationship.. we all love to write, but hate to edit.. we all love expression, and hate being confined with structure.. we all love to break the rules.. and hate being called on it.. I love your little tale.. and hate to say you opened my eyes to the reality of the pitfalls..
