A Poem by Writing Walter
"

Sometimes, we like our friends a little too much. But does that have to ruin a friendship?

"
Even though I am and want to stay your friend
I also wish I could be more " and yet, I sadly can’t
You are an unbound spirit and want to stay so, too
I can’t convince you otherwise, no matter what I do

I don’t even blame you, please, don’t get me wrong
No one knows better than you the place where you belong
It’s really more for my sake, and that drives me insane
I want to be there for you, yet I think of my own gain

Your friendship is not second place, it isn’t consolation
I really do not have a problem regarding our relation-
-ship and yet, this dream of mine, to be The One for you
I sometimes think it influences all I think and do

You are a great person, please, remember that
You’re one of the greatest friends that I have ever had
And even though this song of woe and lovesickness I sing
Your friendship I would never trade for love or anything
