Love?

Love?

A Poem by Insatiable Writer
"

It seems so pure and honest for the first time, but time has a way of twisting and showing one's true intent.

"

Words of truth once said in the moment,

later turned into surprising toxicity,

venom spewed from the lips of the being

that once promised love.

Last recalled,

love does not hurt with intent,

love does not cause worry

or discomfort,

love does not belittle.

Whatever it was that was given

was far from being what was once

promised.
