Angel

Angel

A Poem by Insatiable Writer
"

To the one still I love the most in this world, some days your absence ruins me more than I'd like to admit.

"

Do you see me from above,

From where I cannot reach

The gates to witness your

Eyes once more?

Have you witnessed my triumphs and failures

And I’ve been blind to it all?

I have felt and seen you only in my dreams,

As that is where we can meet until I am called upon in spirit, and yet, in being human, I crave more,

But can I be blamed for wanting a soul

That has left me empty for more than

A decade of time?

Nicely written, it was taking me on a journey that was unexpected. Especially the ending "That has left me empty for more than

A decade of time?" Is this Angel a reference of someone who passed 10 yr ago? If not, I am still working out in my mind what the decade reveals. Thought provoking, thank you very much

Sorry to hear about your loss
This is so sad. I can feel the speaker’s grief and loss and, longing to be with this loved one that has passed. I would say a good write.

Thank you so much.
This one is about grief that lingers. The addressee is not named, but is obviously someone who meant a lot to the speaker. Even though years have passed since the departure, we can still feel the anguish of loss in these words. For answers, though, sometimes all we can do is wait.
