Fragments

Fragments

A Poem by Insatiable Writer
"

Sometimes when we look back on a memory, for as much joy as it brings, it can also cause pain.

"

They flash by like speeding trains,

Flickering lights that cause me to

Catch my breath.

I reach out to grasp just one,

A piece that brings me joy,

And yet, the memory is too

Sharp and my mind

begins to bleed as my

tears begin to spill.

I love the imagery. It really sets the mood for the reader. I also liked how you said the memory was sharp and then illustrated what it felt like or what it could do in a physical sense. It gives a bittersweet kind of feeling like you want to remember, but it's also very painful. Well written! Keep up the imagery and good work!
