Double Tap

Double Tap

A Poem by Erin
"

those darn zombies!

"
I've heard it said that when there is no more room in hell,
The dead shall walk the earth.
The zombies are running amuck in my town
My friends are dying
And trying to eat me!
I'm hiding out in my brother's bedroom
And he's protecting my sisters and I
From our zombified parents and brother.
I'm flipping through his zombie survival book
Trying to see if I could make it out on my own
I'm not one likely to live.
My brother falls down the stairs to the basement
His skin is green and his lips are blue!
I grab a gun and shoot at his head
He falls to the ground.
My sisters and I run to the first floor
The house has been invaded!
My brother walks up the stairs,
Approaching us to eat our brains.
Damn.
I forgot to double-tap.
