The Music You Left Me

The Music You Left Me

A Poem by Erin

The music you left me,

When you left to your home in the sky,

Bittersweet the sound,

But soft to the touch.

It made me feel all right,

It made me feel okay.

It made me think of death and I wanted you to stay

I did not want to force you from life nor from death.

I just hope you know that you are missed,

And that we will see you soon.

Even though I cannot see you,

I know that you are there,

Helping me with all my moves.

I will miss you forever,

But what good will that do?
