Almond Joy

Almond Joy

A Chapter by DaydreamingAngel~
"

Drew and Candy begin a beautiful holiday right in the heart of Japan...

"

Now Candy and Drew had been in a harmonious love for many months now. And now they were going to a beautiful lake house in Japan.

“Here we are...” she sighed happily and they held hands and walked in. For a while they just talked about their life together and what might come of it. They explored the house and then headed out for a nice peaceful day. To live their holiday to the fullest they headed to the green tea rooms for a refreshing start to the holiday... The sounds of birds in the trees were chirping outside flowing into the room like that gentle breeze you get on the most blissful spring day...  They just sat their giggling and chatting, gently sipping their green tea, just living the moment to its fullest. After the refreshing sensation of the green tea they went boating along the lake back to their lake house.

“Isn’t this just wonderful?” asked Drew

“Yeah, even more wonderful that I’m with you!” she replied and kissed him on the cheek. Hand in hand they looked at the surroundings around the lake house, Cherry blossom trees and lily pads on the water.

Drew picked a big beautiful cherry blossom and placed it into her hair.

“Love is like blossom on a cherry blossom tree; it lasts long and has lots of beauty. But if trod incorrectly it can wither away or overgrow into an ugly weed.” Drew said romantically

“My you’re quite the poet...” Candy giggled

When they entered the lake house they began to feel hungry. Drew’s stomach growled like an angry bear.

“Was that your stomach Drew?”

“Yeah... Sorry”

Candy’s stomach growled back and then their stomachs kept growling like two angry bears fighting!

“I don’t like that much Japanese food but I’m so hungry!” Candy complained

Out of his bag Drew pulled out two almond joy bars.

“It’s a good job I brought these then!” Drew beamed

They hugged each other, eating their Almond Joy bars staring out of the window looking at the view watching the world go by.

Their beautiful holiday was unfortunately over before they knew it.

Nice interaction between the characters. It was fun that they went to Japan for a holiday. I thought it was cute how both of their stomachs started growling. They shared Almond Joy bars together. Very sweet.
