White Moon

A couple get seperated on the night of the full moon... How did it happen? What became of them? The only way to find out is to read it...

White Moon

 

Selina and Kyle were taking a moonlight stroll in the park. The sky was like a black blanket, the stars sewn onto its sky fabric. Tonight, the moon was a full one and it was as white and as sparkly as a perfect diamond. Selina squeezed Kyle’s hand and they smiled at each other. The hair Selina had was midnight black and it was long and curly. Her eyes shone like emeralds, green with a glint to them. As for Kyle he had flat mop like coco brown hair with a fringe and his eyes were coffee brown.

They sat themselves by the lake and it trickled with a gentle sound... Shining, the moon made a reflection, so real it looked like you could just reach out to grab it. Kyle wanted to go swimming and Selina agreed. Selina looked in her bag and pulled out some lime green swimming trunks for Kyle and a candy pink bikini for herself. With a huge splash they jumped in. Laughing, and holding hands. They swam towards the moon’s reflection but then something completely out of the ordinary happened! Selina floated up and her clothes clicked back on like magnets! Her clothes were a pastel pink dress and matching flats. Her hair blew in the wind, like the wind on the sea waves.

“Selina! No!” Kyle yelled grabbing her foot trying to pull her back, but resistance was useless, he was begging to be pulled down into the lake. His hand slipped off and he slowly began drowning, while Selina carried on floating up like a lost balloon.... Her journey ended and she was on the moon and her eyes began to twinkle even more than usual. There was a beautiful kingdom, perched on the moon right before her eyes. A giant castle was at the back towering above shops and houses. A maiden walked up to her and she stepped back in shock before bowing to the ground.

“Your majesty!” the maiden explained.

Before Selina had a chance to say anything she was being rushed to the castle.

She found herself sitting in a fancy closet full of clothes.

“Your mother recently died and she was the queen here meaning you must take over!”

“Excuse me?” Selina replied shocked. The maiden sat behind Selina with a comb and a selection of ribbons in her hand. The maiden began coming Selina’s hair straight.

“Your mother... was queen of the moon. The enemy kingdom’s best knight killed her and now you must take her place as queen...” the maiden explained, combing Selina’s hair as she did so.

“So that’s why I never met my mum...”

“There we go! Now pick a ribbon and I’ll tie your hair in a royal bun, fit for a queen!”

“I’ll take the pink one please.”

The maiden tied Selina’s hair into a neat bun with the raspberry pink ribbon.

“Now we must dress you right!”

Selina stared at the beautiful selection of robes and dresses. Slim ones, long ones, gold ones, patterned ones... The choice was so hard! But then she saw the perfect dress... It was raspberry pink, perfect to match the ribbon. The dress was long and ruffled and a valentine red ribbon was tied right around the middle. To finish it off were a pair of rose long red gloves...

“Do you like that one?” asked the maiden, getting the dress down from the hanger.

“Do I?” Selina replied her eyes glittering.

The maiden dressed Selina in the outfit,

“Almost done now we need makeup...” the maiden said nodding

There was a very exquisite armoire with draws jam packed with makeup varieties. Selena sat herself down and opened the draw. It was like a rainbow of make up in there! Cranberry red eye shadow, Lollipop pink lipstick and so much more! Selina picked out the cranberry red eye shadow and a blood red lipstick. She applied them and went to look in the mirror.

“I feel so... different...I feel almost like a different girl!” Selina sighed to herself

“There’s just one more finishing touch...” the maiden giggled, placing a gold tiara engraved with rubies on her head.

“Now allow me to take me to your thrown room...” the maiden said smiling...

Meanwhile... something just as revolutionary happened to Kyle...

A whole underwater kingdom was before him. Kyle felt so shocked that he was actually breathing... But down there... it was like Atlantis almost, A breathtaking shell palace at the back and many different buildings. Somehow he was swimming... differently. He looked down to see that his legs have gone and in their place was an opal blue merman tail. Kyle yelled in horror.

“What’s happening to me?” he groaned and he began to bang his head against a shop wall.

“Are... you all right your majesty? Asked a very puzzled looking merman

“Your majesty, what are you on about?! Kyle yelled

“Ok... calm down perhaps it would be better to explain in your palace...” the merman sighed

Kyle was taken straight to the throne room, as there was nothing much he needed to put on. He was passed a trident, had his tail decorated with sapphires and a crown perched upon his head. The crown was engraved with sapphires, much like his tail.

“Hey I just want to make it back to dry land! I’m not your king!” Kyle yelled, seeming rather ungrateful.

“Your dad was king but he god killed, you being his son must take his place.” The merman explained

“What? No I’d rather seek adventure! Living my life! Not stuck in a palace until my grave calls!” Kyle exclaimed

“That’s quite enough of that! You must for fill your duty! The merman pushed Kyle onto the throne.

“I can barley wait...” Kyle replied sarcastically.

Meanwhile back in the moon kingdom

“Your welcoming feast is ready, your highness.” A servant said bowing to to Selina and then taking her to a long fudge brown table.

Big golden platters were in the middle of the table stacked up with all kinds of delectable foods. Lamb, pork, chicken, beef, salads of many colours, soups of many variations, curries, pies, lasagnes, strawberry cheesecakes, blueberry trifles and so much more. She decided to go for a vegetable soup for a simple starter. The vegetables were variable of chewy, crunchy sweet our sour. They’re texture worked in harmony with the taste of the stock. The bowl was soon as clean as a whistle, looking completely un- touched. For her main she stacked up some of the meat and laid down some salad. She also helped herself to a little bit of lasagne.  She soon cleared her golden plate and it was soon glittery once more. Finally she had a little bit of blueberry trifle for dessert and then she had had her fill.

“Wow I’ve never ate so much at one time!” she sighed happily

“Get in the carriage it’s time to meet your fellow kingdom residents.” A different servant said. She made her way to the luxurious horse drawn carriage. It was golden and the seats inside were ruby red and made of velvet. One of the horses was ash grey while the other was a perfect snowy white.

Meanwhile... Kyle was also having his feast

It being underwater it was a fish selection, Cod, tuna, salmon, prawn, shrimp and more! There was even some octopus and squid...

“What is this?” he yelled

“Fish, your majesty” a servant trembled nervously.

“Hmm... Maybe trying something new wouldn’t hurt TOO MUCH!” he groaned

He stacked his plate with some prawns and some salmon. He placed a prawn in his mouth and began to chew. The aroma filled his mouth and the taste was fleshy and juicy. He then began to gobble loads of prawns and salmon down.

“Delicious!” he explained.

Soon he had had his fill. He made his way to his sea horse drawn carriage. It was much like Selina’s only silver with a sapphire blue velvet seat. There were two seahorses pulling it.

They were both touring they’re kingdoms... After a few hours they were home, in the moon kingdom...

Selina saw her room. It was fit for a queen! A massive four poster bed was before her with lava red sheets. The pillows were soft like clouds and the sheets were warm and snug. Selina changed into her pyjamas and fell fast asleep.

Meanwhile...

Kyle had a huge clam bed. A pearl was perched as his pillow. He swam over and placed his head on the pearl

“Ouch! That hurts!” he groaned

He soon got used to it and shut the clam lid for privacy...

Both of them fell asleep.

The next day Kyle woke up with troubles on his mind.

“I miss Selina...” he sighed

He began a long journey to the god Poseidon. He swap past sharks and jelly fish and almost got eaten alive. Eventually he made it.

“Oh great Poseidon, do you know where my girlfriend is?”

“She is in the kingdom of the moon, but we and the kingdom of the moon are forbid to meet.” Poseidon boomed.

“Please let me see her, just for a while.” Kyle begged

“Very well then, I will contact Artemis goddess of the moon and she can bring the moon down for a while.” Poseidon replied

“Thank you!” Kyle exclaimed, bowing before him.

After a few seconds the moon came floating down.  Kyle stuck his head above the water and saw Selina. Since they couldn’t reach each other, they just had a long chat before the moon was forced to rice back into space again. Months passed and they were yet to meet up again...

 One day Selina was bored of being queen... All the ball parties, feasts and fancy frocks... I      t was too repetitive; It was like an I-pod stuck on replay... She floated back to earth and her older sister Daisy took the throne. Selina had sworn never to return... She just wanted... a normal life.  Ok, so feasts and parties were nice and all but... every single day? Come on...  Selina was standing by the lake, in the park, on her own. She was wearing just another one of her outfits. They were rather designer, Royal blue skinny jeans with a sequin butterfly at the top of the right trouser leg, a silky lime green tank top with a ribbon as white as a snow flake tied around the middle. But then her heart felt like it had been shot by cupid... A boy was was sitting on a bench, coincidentally under a cherry blossom tree.

He had hair which was chocolate brown and his eyes matched his hair. Soon he started walking to towards her. His hand touched hers and lifted it up and kissed it. Selina felt like she couldn’t move... But then she flung her arms around him and kissed his check. Had she forgotten Kyle? A few days later they got married.

Under the sea, not long after the marriage...

“I am fed up of this! There’s absolutely no adventure in this!”Kyle snapped

“But your majesty...” one of his servants muttered

“Don’t you but me! It’s the same thing everyday... Feasts and parties, more feasts and more parties... and guess what?

“Your majesty...”

“More parties! I’m leaving, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

“The only way to change back is to find the ancient charm. It is...”

“Thanks I’ll see you later... NOT!” Kyle snapped before swimming off and out the door before slamming it shut. He swam for what seemed like hours... But then he saw a glint! It was the charm! With haste he swam towards it. Picking it up with care, he held it to his heart and then blue rays came out. His tail transformed into legs and then he floated to the bottom of the lake.

“I’m going to drown!” he yelled through a mouth full of water. He was about to open his mouth to make his last words when he was teleported above the lake and somehow his clothes just appeared on him. Unfortunately he saw Selina and the other boy kissing in a bench. Without saying anything, he jumped back into the lake, his legs transforming and he swam to the palace as fast as a missile, tears tickling his eyes. On the way there he met a beautiful mermaid... Her hair was blonde and her tail was candy pink. She giggled at him and he wiped his tears and tried to force a smile back at her. Weeks late they were married...

And so, Kyle ruled the kingdom under the lake and Selina lived happily on the earth with her new man...
