Simple things bring simple pleasure. I didn't believe that losing such a simple pleasure would leave such an intricate and festering wound. It was a foolish mistake that I will never make again. The pain of knowing that it could have been there forever, but due to arrogance and stupidity, it is now gone, is a sadness few can grasp. It could be something as simple as another person's company, a note, even a pen. No matter how small the gaping sore left in your heart will remember your grievous offense.
