Castle Walls

Castle Walls

A Story by Writers_Block

Being a king isn't worth the jewels
When the gesture of the jester is gone, your left a lonely fool
when the queen takes her leave and the concrete seeks your knees
you find your fingers crossed or your hands fused in form of plead
A prisoner in your own home
a look in the mirror is as close to a clone
its only you your eyes see,you paid a lonely fee
Behind these walls all your left to see is the concrete
those walls were built to keep away defeat
but when the defeat is inside the gate, there's no way to escape
These castle walls, once built for a king, now hides a clown
Built to be alone, realizing the distance from the taxed town
Paying for your mistakes, and not to be bribed by gold worth its weight in pounds
its to be paid in order for your heart to be paved
your heart protected again, as your mind makes its way
to think of now and not yesterday
Keep away the pain, tears and sorrow
be the king of your today's and your tomorrow's
