There is a time when you need to wear a brave face,
Today is not that day.
Today is when things are slowing down
And you let everything sink in.
Feel the pang of loneliness,
The lack of human contact.
You miss the things you can't have.
People who are not yours.
Memories you shouldn't be thinking of.
It starts to fall into place,
Like puzzle peices fitting in the right shapes.
You become lonely because you remember
What you used to have.
You realize how much comfort you used to take for granted.
Today is the day you're allowed to fall apart,
Just remember to get back up tomorrow morning.
