You Make Me See Me

You Make Me See Me

A Poem by WritersBlock21

You scare me.

You make me feel things I never thought I would.

You woke me up and had me craving for your gentle touch.

If I close my eyes I can almost feel the ghost of your hands on me.

I can feel one hand on my waist,

The other somehow knotting my short locks.

When I bite my lip, I feel your mouth teasing me.

You make me want,

As if I never knew I could.

You terrify me because you see the side I don't know how to show.

The needy side that wants more than most can give.

The side that wished my brain would shut off.

The side I almost gave in to before reality came flooding back again.

I made you stop that night,

Right when your hands started roaming .

I made you stop because I locked that side away in a few seconds.

Not because I didn't want to,

But because you scare me.

You scare me because it's so easy to give in to the poet.

The poet with a gorgeous mind and beautiful actions.

I'm scared of you because I opened my eyes for one second and thought.

"There you are, finally coming out of your shell."

Almost as if I walked past a mirror through my thoughts.

So you scare me,

Because you make me see me.
