Without Society You are Me

Without Society You are Me

A Poem by WritersBlock21

Order me around.

Point at what you want.

Expect me to serve you.

Steal what is mine,

Not yours.

You may be a big hot shot doctor.

You may be my boss,

But you have no right to treat me like this.

Like I'm lower than you.

The only differences between me and you

Is a Diploma and age.

We are both human beings.

Do not treat me like you're my better.

If we were left on a deserted island,

We would be equals.

The only thing saying I'm lower than you

Is society.

Without it,

You and I are one in the same.

Think about that the next time you doubt my limitations.
