She Can't Know She's Superwoman.

She Can't Know She's Superwoman.

A Poem by WritersBlock21
"

Just a little idea from a conversation with a friend.

"

She thinks I don't need her.

That I'd be fine if we had never become this close.

She thinks her grandmother is Superwoman.

It must run in the family.

If I didn't know her today,

I wouldn't seem so strong.

I wouldn't eat like I should.

I wouldn't be smiling.

I would be curled up in a ball.

I would be starving myself.

I would be crying nonstop.

I wouldn't seem like I was fine.

She didn't see that everytime I was smiling,

It was an accomplishment.

Everytime I ate,

I did it for them.

Everytime I brushed something off,

I drove home screaming and crying myself into silence.

When something unexpected happened.

I wasn't prepared.

I couldn't put my armor up fast enough.

So my defense cracked.

There is a dent in my wall of control.

My emotions are running rampant against me

And I can't control anything.

I may have lost my best talent.

But I gained my best motivator.
