Searching

Searching

A Poem by Writer_Chick
"

Always searching...

"

I'm searching every day

For someone to be mine

Only mine

A porcelain skinned hand that fits in mine like a glove

A passionate heart to feel my love

I'm searching for an intimate encounter

I want to hold them close...

And I'm still searching.

I feel that the repetition of 'mine' is excessive when you use it for the third time: this last echo does not wring any new desperation out of it.

The glove / love rhyme is a tad over familiar, and stands out more so because it is the only rhyme in the whole poem.

Overall, this expresses a common sentiment in a straightforward way. Is there any poetic imagery you could use to make this more unique? The title is 'Searching' so perhaps there is some mission or adventure that you feel could be a metaphor for this search.
