Some People Believe

This is a poem about religious views vs. non-religious views along with the importance to decide your beliefs for yourself.

Some people believe coffee, tea, and alcohol are unhealthy and immoral;

Others believe these drinks are fine in moderation. 

Some people believe modest is hottest;

Others believe showing skin is beautiful and confident. 

Some people believe in abstinence until marriage;

Others believe in taking time and expressing love. 

Some people believe in multiplying the earth;

Others believe in not contributing to overpopulation. 

Some people believe in refraining from profanity;

Others believe in freely expressing themselves. 

Some people believe homosexuals are unnaturally tempted to choose;

Others believe in freedom to choose who they love. 

Some people believe men have more power than women;

Others believe gender equality is more powerful. 

Some people believe their beliefs are the way to live;

Others believe in freedom to choose diverse beliefs. 

No matter what some choose over others,

As long as no one judges and they're set firm in their beliefs,

they remain strong if they just believe.

I like the initial few lines a lot and I was really pulled into this piece. Though according to me, the end needs to be a bit stronger...hmm it could be just me though. Enjoying your work nonetheless.
