Something Different.

Something Different.

A Poem by WriterMe
"

I feel something I have never felt before....

"

I feel something.

I feel something different.

I don’t know what it is,

But I have never felt it before.

Think of painting something simple, yet beautiful,

While sitting on a wooden porch.

The view of a wide open field, filled with colorful flowers, before you,

The sky above you gray, with the looming essence of rain.

The smell of it all overwhelms your senses…

Yes! The smell! That’s what I feel like.

Did you get the feeling?

No?

Think of sitting atop a hill with your favorite book in your lap.

Enjoying the overview of greenery,

Watching the last few rays of the sun as it disappears behind them.

Think of lying down on your favorite quilt blanket,

Your book gently kept aside.

Your arms as you pillow, and the sight of a million frosted stars, your ceiling.

The sight of it all drifts your mind far away…

That’s it! The sight! That’s what I feel like.

Have you felt it yet?

Have you?

Think of a warm cup of coffee, or hot chocolate if you prefer.

Your palms cupping tightly around it,

Seeping in every ounce of warmth it provides on such a cold day.

As you sit in your favorite armchair outside,

With you fuzzy purple socks on,

Breathing in the early morning mist…

The breath! Exactly! That’s how I feel.

Do you feel it now?

Think of nestling on pale sand,

Your toes and fingers loving their caress,

The sun gently beating down your bare shoulders,

The salty sea air blowing through your hair,

And an innocent smile, creeping on your lips…

Perfect! That smile! That’s what I feel like.

Did you get it?

Do you know the feeling now?

Think of lying down in bed, wrapped in someone’s arms,

Listening to the soft sounds of the raindrops outside,

A wide open window so close to your bed,

The cold air and the sprinkling rain tickling your feet.

Yet the embrace of someone you love is all you need to keep warm.

That’s it! The warmth!

That is how I feel.

Do you finally feel it too?

I feel something.

I feel something different.

I don’t know what it is,

But I have never felt it before

your  of laying down on your favorite quilt blanket,

n your lap.

WriterMe
This is what i call 'Impulse writing'. I havent read through it. I havent changed the lines. I just thought of the idea and wrote it down. I'm pretty sure in the near future I'll read it again, purse my lips and re-do it line by line. But for now, this is how I feel about it.
I would love to know what you think. =]

Psst. I still haven't done justice to 'The Feeling' yet =]

You haven't read it through?
That is suprising. How can you post something without reading it through at least once?! I could never do that. Although, I could easily post something which I know is absolute rubbish (you can see this from some of my writing). But yhh.
This is interesting. It is good. Keep thinking of ideas and writing them straight down - you can always improve on them if you have to later.

Incredible imagery- I would quote my favorite lines, but there are too many. Wonderfully done... I might try that impulse writing myself. :)
100/100 for me

Experimental, refreshing... it's a step in the right direction, it was interesting - keep pushing for new things through your writing.

Your arms as your pillow, and the sight of a million frosted stars, your ceiling - loved that image.
