What if I Say...

This was written with my crush in mind. Some girls have a new crush every few weeks. Mine has been on-going since two years ago.. about. By the way: he doesn't know.

What if I say "hi"?

How would you reply?

Would you say it back,

Or look at me as if I plan to attack?

What if I say "you're cute"?

Would you refute?

Would you ignore me as if I was never there, 

Or be nice and say 'thank you' with care?

What if I say "I like you"?

What would you do?

Would you think I'm just kidding,

Or feel like life is just beginning?

What if I say "I love you"?

Because I want to.

I'm proud of this poem. It isn't my strongest suit.

FYI- I think 'refute' means to deny. Whether I used it right, you get what it means.

"What if" is a powerful question. I am not very good at poems myself, but this one is good. It doesn't supply any answers, yet gives the reader a story. My only suggestion would be to add a little more here and there, either a statement or more questions to give a fuller story. But still Great Job!
