Cupid Is A Sadist

Cupid Is A Sadist

A Poem by Krista Harris
"

Love is in the air!Or is that just swine flu? When cynics fall in love.... If anyone asks, it's just the flu. :-)

"

From what I've seen and known about him

Cupid must be

A Sadist!

The young boy taking a magnifying glass to small insects

The same one who throws rocks at new cars as they drive by.

That little b*****d has done me in again!

I may be wrong though. It might be time for optimism

For love could very well save me if it doesn't drive me mad first

I hate the most, these long, drawn out moments

Of waiting and wondering

If anything will become of it

If my dreams of he and I are only that

Either way, I can take flight now from a banal existence

But when I touch down, will you be there?

I'll see you soon again

We'll talk and laugh about

Everything!

Or nothing at all.

I just hope this time that the joke's not on me.

Why am I thinking of those scenes in "The Princess Bride" where the big (supposedly) dumb henchman is always questioning his (supposedly) brilliant boss about his understanding of the meaning of the words he is using?--
Especially the word "impossible". Anyway, you use the word "love" like it actually means love; and for a very smart girl (which I recognize that you are) that seems enantiodromic. Don't you just love my "reviews"?

Pure awesomeness.

I often think cupid is a little devil in diapers. But then, you're thankful for whatever he does. Why does it always have to be a paradox?

Frozen Angel

P.S. I love your little description of the piece! =)

You noticed that too, When you are not sure
how the other will react if you say the wrong
thing,. The awkward silence ! Dang, deliver me
from these times.
Every couple should be made to kiss each other
ten times before going on a date. Then they will
feel like they belong together.

I like this , but what`s new. I love everything this
writer does. She is a natural talent . She has the
gift. I need more of her writing , now .
