Rainy Day

Rainy Day

A Poem by Phillip Heidler
"

Don't even want to talk about it

"
Sitting by the windowsill
Looking outside into the dreadful and rainy day
Feeling like I’m trapped inside a box
With nothing to do, but to think

But my mind can’t stay focused
I’m only thinking about one and only one thing
And it’s you

Your big blue eyes that could fill the oceans’ floor
Your white smile from all the laughter we had together
Your arms that wrap around to keep me warm
Your personality was gold to me

But I could never forget
Never forget your heart
The way you used it to toy with mine

I thought we had it all
But you left me

My heart shattered that day
Like shattered glass
My heart was mourning for love
Every night and day

My tears filled up my box
My tears eating away the box
My tears are setting me free

Sitting by the windowsill
Realizing the dreadful rainy day
Is no more

It’s all bright and sunny outside
Without a cloud or a drop in the sky
